AÂ chatbot is a type of conversational agent designed to simulate an intelligent conversation with humans. Right now you can have your own chatbot on your website, who can talk to your visitors like a real person!
This computer program is designed to talk to users about various subjects as well as general chat. This Widget is using speech synthesis to talk with a robot voice.
As you can see on the side-bar, the chatbot is included as a Wordpress Plugin Widget but it can be inserted in any other places, in any other websites.
This Widget use the “Brain” of Program-o (under GNU licence) and is coded in AIML (the Artificial Intelligence Markup Language used to create many chatbots across the internet such as Alice and Shakespearebot)
The Bot brain is based on an AIML interpreter you can get an already programed bot brain, but you can also use your dedicated administration area for training and monitoring your own bot. In that place, you can upload your AIML files, teach your bot, update it’s personality and read stats and logs.
You don’t need to be an expert, the administration interface is very easy to use.
You can get the source code, the “thinking part” here but it does not include the speech synthesis and the widget integration.
The Chatbot is designed to be integrated in any website, but because Wordpress is becoming the standard blogging and CMS framework we have developed a special plugin to make the integration easy. You just have to unzip and copy the files into your plugin directory and then activate the widget and drop it exactly where you want on the sidebar of your theme.
